Uh, let's try this one ...

Well, how about that (after several tries) - it worked!

I took this photograph back during the winter of 2001 when I had the incredible luck to spend two months (November/December) housesitting and dogsitting for two good friends. I always liked this picture, but it doesn't come close to actually being there, ten miles out to sea with no city lights and no human sounds ... just the ocean (I was standing on the shore at Lobster Cove looking back towards the island).

A good place to put it all into perspective.

Yep! They are. By the way, have you ever been in my tipi? I know I had it at Hopeville about 7 or 8 years ago. I need to get some new poles and sew a few old seams to get it back up again ... I miss it a whole bunch.

I don't know if you heard or not, but on Sunday the All Souls crowd voted (135 yes to 6 no + abstain) to buy the Jay Street building. Now all we have to do is meet all the conditions of the sales agreement and (ahem) come up with the BIG bucks before we can close on the deal and call it our own.

Your girls miss you terribly, so get over here as soon as you can.

Yup, I have been in your tipi at Hopeville Pond. I remember watching Drew and Ben and random other people playing that card game, Magic, on what I think was an air mattress in it. But yes, it must be mended because I enjoy it so very much.
And thank you for the All Souls news, Mom had told me about the vote but not about the final decision/vote etc. If I want to donate, how do I go about doing so? Just leave a note on the check saying "for the Jay street property" or what?
